i loved reading about the "retarded" comment. i do believe her when she says sometimes she can't tell which songs would be hits. as a songwriter i'm often surprised at people's feedback about my music in terms of what they think are good compared to what i think. the ones people seem to like most are actually songs that took me the least amount of time to write. in that sense they are more "retarded" than songs i had to work for months on.
